The Chapman Family Center no longer offers birth and postpartum doula services. Judy Chapman has decided to retire this part of her business. Jenna and Stephanie, the long-time administrators of these two registries, have created Bundle of Joy Doula Services with all the same doulas to serve your needs.

Transitional Advisor
The postpartum doula helps you and your partner bridge the often overwhelming transition to being new parents. Most new parents are unfamiliar with normal newborn traits and behaviors and normal postpartum care for the mother. A postpartum doula can help the family understand what to expect and how to care for the baby while offering an extra set of hands. Studies show that mothers who have good support have more success breastfeeding, greater confidence mothering, and less incidence of postpartum depression. With a doula, partners also benefit. Partners are supported to clarify their own needs, learn how to care for their baby on their own, and actively support the new mom.
Seleting a Postpartum Doula
The Chapman Family Center Postpartum Doulas offer a variety of flexible schedules that can include full days (24 hours), half days, overnights and weekends. The Director of Postpartum Services will conduct an assessment of your needs to make the best possible matches. It is advisable to begin interviewing well before your due date to assure the availability of the doula of your choice.
Rates: $20 - $35/hr. based on experience
$500/24 hr. assignment
